# parseWebhook

> Parse a verified delivery body into a `WebhookEvent`; call `verifyWebhook` first, this does not check the signature.

```ts theme={null}
parseWebhook<TData = Record<string, unknown>>(body: string): WebhookEvent<TData>
```

## Example

```ts theme={null}
import { parseWebhook } from "@endstate-sdk/core/webhooks";
const event = parseWebhook(rawBody);
event.type; // "custody.release.requested"
event.data; // the resource as rendered for your endpoint's api_version
```

Call it only on a body `verifyWebhook` accepted. `data` is typed through the generic parameter until per-event-type shapes ship with the first producer.
